Lewistown Public Schools is looking for a self-motivated individual who can work with an active, well-rounded Elementary program. A strong background in Reading and Math is preferred. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with students that are at a variety of levels in learning.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University and a current Montana Educator License with an endorsement in Elementary Education is required. If certified in another state the applicant must be willing to take the steps to obtain a Montana Certificate in a timely manner.
This contract will be for 179 instructional days plus 8 PIR days. Beginning teachers start at a Step 4—$31,002—with credit given for up to nine (9) years teaching experience (Step 9 on the salary schedule—starting tenth year of teaching). Insurance benefits will be available for medical and dental coverage. Any appointment shall be contingent upon the results of the fingerprint criminal background check, which must be acceptable to the Board of Trustees, in its sole discretion.
